1 Warlock 5 vol. 1 #2 cover Central Park: The Mistress meditates about the great one's return, calling herself it's daughter. She asks for the totems to guide her way. She floats over a battle scene between elves and monsters. Elf heads are on spears. Srith monsters with four arms fight. Only two elves seem to be alive and fighting on a small section of rock. She sees the leader, Borgamul, the great one. Perrigrin is taken. Another elf in a short cut vest and chain mail thong says, "I will stay alive to be with you, Perrigrin!" Borgamul tells the girl that he is not the one she searches for. The elves have many gifts--they not just captured. He will torture the elves when the moons are up. A demon boy with a crisscrossed outfit which shows much skin and is like a bathing suit is with him. A wizard ripped his own heart out below Manhattan and his two apprentices have been driven mad, a third apprentice is gone. His name was Slip. The monkey like king orders him killed. Slip, at street level, realizes he has seen too much. The thing that came into this world has left a residue. Chispa calls the kids into her class. She has a surprise. Alex, an Oriental, asks if this is gonna be like last month's sugar plumb fairy fiasco. She tells him they agree not to talk about that. Two donut eatin cops chase a loony man who has gerbils down his pants. Taiwan, near Taipei: Chen Xiao Long is the small boy who is with Han Fei Honan in a jeep. He has glasses, jewels around his neck, and an umbrella. He is very little. He is to guide Han in matters since Han is not a righteous warrior. Calling him Jimminy Cricket, Han yells at him that he is not going to listen, he knows what to do. Chen tells him his nose is growing. Han tells him to piss off. A old man wearing a large Oriental hat and with a stick blocks their way from high on top a stone. Clawed, masked creatures fly at the jeep. The little monk boy sucks on a pacifier attached to a rope around his neck. The monsters are elemental demons. Han fights them but there are too many. Chen drives the jeep at another or two. Han tells him, "Don't ever drive my car again!!!!!" He calls him a mini monk. Chen sucks on his pacifier, it helps him think. It bugs Han. Another Oriental, seemingly a teen, has a gun as they stop. He knows Han and asks who the punk is. Han says, "This is Mini Monk. He's my partner." Chen looks happy. Cops take hold of a mad writer, who says he publishes stealth book which never come out. Heather and Bill, an older man, see Mrs. Hyfuss, who is taking daughter Mary out of Chispa's class. There are four students in Chispa's class. She wants them to put on leotards which are very tiny. They are copies of her own. The great dark one has all his servants wear them. Chispa tells her class that in a dream she had they all danced and lit up the room. Then a big guy with horns came, "...with like horns and all that cool stuff, you know?" A monkey faced Slip watches Bill leave. Slip wants the talisman. Far away, Borgamul's torturer feels up the chest of one of the elves. Borgamul throws threats and taunts the elf's way. He will make the elf live to watch his friend suffer. Both are in wrist chains with hands over their heads, chained to a wall or pillar, both wearing only thongs or underwear. The elf friend begs and this pleases Borgamul more, this makes it more fun. The Mistress returns to Central Park, NYC. She feels the ancient one called to her in his land and felt it was horrible. Yet she liked it since it felt so...she tries to resist this. She will not have him hold dominion over her. She is not like him. Cops come and take her, commenting on her "nice" skimpy outfit. They handcuff her hands behind her back and over her skimpy loin cloth.
